Kissing Candice formed in New York in 2012, combining industrial, electronic, metal, and hardcore influences with a theatrical horror aesthetic built for the stage. The band moved into the national touring circuit early, developing a reputation through high-impact live performances and a willingness to stay on the road.

After signing with Victory Records, Kissing Candice released its full-length debut Blind Until We Burn in 2014. In 2015, the band completed the full 25-date Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival run. That year also began a three-year stretch of Gathering of the Juggalos main-stage appearances in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Additional major-event appearances include Halowicked 2016, the 2022 Danny Wimmer Presents Space Zebra Anniversary Party livestreamed on Twitch and headlined by Bad Omens, and Danny Wimmer Presents Louder Than Life in 2023 on a festival day featuring Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera, Falling In Reverse, Sleep Token, BABYMETAL, and more.

Across its career, Kissing Candice has completed significant national touring with artists including Mushroomhead, Combichrist, Twiztid, Aiden, Psychostick, Bam Margera, Snow White's Poison Bite, Spineshank, (hed) p.e., and Primer 55. The band later released the Safe Word EP through Stay Sick Recordings before transitioning into a fully independent operation.

Independent growth has included strategic guest features, radio support, and a growing sync catalog. Crash and Burn surpassed 2.16 million Spotify streams and has appeared in the feature horror films Faceless After Dark and The Girl in Cabin 13, the short film Echoes of Animals, MLB-related commercial and video content, MLB 9 Innings, and the in-game radio of the PC survival title Once Human. Magic Show also appears on Once Human’s in-game radio. Skeletons, featuring Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies, received support from SiriusXM Octane and 94.3 The Shark. Industry Hostage, featuring Ash Costello of New Years Day, received placement on SiriusXM Ozzy's Boneyard. 97 Buck$ features Taylor Barber of Left to Suffer and Seven Hours After Violet.

In 2026, Kissing Candice completed the Nu-Metal Sucks Tour with Spineshank, (hed) p.e., and Primer 55, followed by summer appearances at Wisconsin Rock Fest and Inkcarceration. The band joins Primer 55 as direct support for a September–October U.S. run. Between tours, members repeatedly travel to Los Angeles to write and record with Austin Coupe, building a substantial catalog of new material for the band's next chapter.
